our expertise

Pam DeCounter

In 2005, Angi and I founded Red and Associates, a Human Resources and Leadership firm in Spokane, Washington. We joined Associated Industries in October of 2015, where I served as the Vice President of Business Solutions through September 2018. I have more than 35 years of experience in small business management, organizational development, and leadership consulting. As a long-time business owner, I have first-hand knowledge and understanding of the challenges faced by small business owners. My experience working with leadership teams in multiple corporate structures gives me a clear view of any business’s planning and management needs. I have done leadership training, coaching, consulting, and planning for businesses in the construction, manufacturing, banking, hospitality, professional services, non-profit, and healthcare industries.

I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University where I went on to serve as an adjunct professor. In my commitment to building a healthy and caring community, I have served on several boards, including Hospice of Spokane, Leadership Spokane, Children’s Hospital Foundation (past president), Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery (past president), and 2nd Harvest Food Bank (past president).  I currently serve as a Civil Service Commissioner for the City of Spokane and I am also a founding member of Feeding Washington.

Angi Shamblin

Pam and I founded and managed Red and Associates, a Human Resources and Leadership Development Consulting company in 2005.  We joined Associated Industries in October 2015, where I served as Vice President of HR Strategic Development through September 2018.  I have spent my career working with CEO’s and their leadership teams to develop workplaces that encourage engagement and retention of their highest performers.  Whether I’m training current or future leaders, coaching executives, or developing strategies to help organizations thrive, my overall business acumen and belief in the importance of building trusting relationships has made me a trusted advisor many employers have come to count on.  I have worked with leaders in healthcare, financial services, hospitality, manufacturing, agriculture, and high tech industries.

Serving leaders is my vocation, but I am also committed to serve my community in other ways.  I have served as Board Chair for Hospice of Spokane, as a board member for L’Arche Spokane, and I’m a current board member for the North Idaho College Business Management Advisory Committee.

I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Eastern Washington University and I have been certified by the Human Resources Certification Institute as a Senior Professional in Human Resources.
